I look forward to what lies ahead with optimism, hope, and anticipation as we slip into a new year, 2014. While reflecting on the coming year, Winnie the Pooh, his friends and the Hundred Acre Wood came to mind.
The Hundred Acre Wood is a place where magical, wonderful adventures take place. “Pooh’s Grand Adventure” is one such adventure. In the “Grand Adventure”, Pooh wakes up one morning and discovers a honey pot with a note attached to it. A note he cannot read, so he asks Owl for help. Owl misinterprets the note and tells Pooh that Christopher Robin has been taken, against his will, to a distant, mysterious and dangerous land. Owl also reveals that a ferocious beast, the Skullasaurus, has taken Christopher Robin to a cave called the “Skull”. Pooh and his friends then go off into the great unknown of the Hundred Acre Wood to rescue Christopher Robin.
I love the adventures Pooh and his friends have outdoors in the Hundred Acre Wood. Here in NW Montana I am surrounded by a Million Acre Wood. A place, like the Hundred Acre Wood, that is magical and full of grandeur; a place to explore with friends; a place to quicken the spirit, enliven the soul and gladden the heart.
Join me, where ever you are, and make 2014 a great year by having many grand adventures outside in your own Hundred Acre Wood.
